Well since my first brew is nestled away in the carboy for a couple of weeks, I thought I'd introduce myself after reading so many threads and posts to get me started.

I brewed my first batch using a Brewer's Best kit my wife got me for Christmas. I had been looking at getting started in the hobby since taking a tour of a local brewery, and visiting a homebrew shop while on Vacation in Stafford, VA over the summer.

I enjoyed the first extract batch so much, I have built me a mash tun so I can dive right into AG brewing and play with some recipes. I hope to get that one in the primary next weekend, but haven't decided what to make. Something simple I'm sure to get a feel for AG brewing. I even joined our local homebrew club, so 'm pretty much all in now.

Thanks to everyone who helped me as I lurked around here, this place is a wealth of information and really helped me get that first batch done with only a couple of minor mistakes!

Thanks everyone, I have a pale ale conditioning now. The Centennial Blond looks good, might have to try that one.:mug:

The good news is the mash tun I just finished passed all its tests tonight, so I'm all set to do the AG batch! I'm anxious to see what kind of efficiency I get.
