Thanks to this forum I just finished building my fermentation chamber (mini-fridge w a collar), BIAB set-up, and started on a collar for a craigslist Keezer. Only experienced with extract brewing in the past so I'm excited to switch things up a little. This forum is top-notch and has been a major help. Cheers 🍻

Welcome! This is a great hobby and all grain is so much easier than it initially seems and extract brews can make tasty beer as well. Get "How To Brew" 4th edition if you haven't already great book.

Good to see some Utah people on the forum. I'm in Colorado but grew up in South Eastern Utah (Moab/Monticello).

I picked up How to Brew and made it cover to cover, that was an amazing resource! Really helped me understand the process. There doesn't seem to be many homebrewers from southern Utah but considering the liquor laws/population its not a huge surprise.

Oh yeah, no doubt the state liquor store brings back bad memories lol. I think brewing your own is that much more important in Utah.

There are a lot of great people on this site to keep you company though.

I'm sure there are a couple homebrewers in your area somewhere they just don't advertise it probably.

Edit: I like your fermentation chamber by the way that should kick ass. I ferment in my fridge/kegerator but have another fridge I'm going to add a collar to as well so I can dedicate the other fridge to just kegs.

Thanks for the support and membership, this forum has been awesome and i'm excited to be a part of it. I am obsessed with the science and art of brewing now, maybe even more than the actual beer.

The fermentation chamber sure beats battling the heat with ice baths and a wet towel!
