Hello. Just wanted to introduce myself. I've brewed a few different beers - I'm fermenting an English brown ale right now and I've made some birch beer and ginger ale, but I'm anxious to learn more about fruit wines and meads. Oh, and since it appears homebrewing is a predominately male hobby, I'll mention that I'm female. :)

Nice to be here.

Hey - I lived in T-town for 6+ years! I always thought it was a great blend of larger city amenities with a small town feel.

Yep...it's the biggest small town in America...

Unfortunately that also means that we have the usual bunch of small town jackholes running the show around here. Makes it kind of rough when a lot of your city's income depends on the auto industry.

Hey all - I am also new to the forum (and brewing) and live just south of downtown Columbus. Also a female brewer. My boyfriend and I just started getting into homebrewing in the early fall (I had done some on-premises brewing before) and were able to share some equipment with our neighbor who also brews. This site has already been a huge help for the hard cider experiment my neighbor and I did (which we just bottled on Monday). We did 5 half gallon batches, each fermented with the same yeast, and backsweeted them all a little differently. Tasted good when we bottled, so we will see what results from the backsweetening. My boyfriend and I just brewed our first beer on monday - a robust hazelnut porter.
