Hello everyone

I just found this forum and the wealth of information here is amazing.

I am new to brewing beer. I have read some books and will get my equipment on Wednesday. I am going for a 50L Speidel. The STC-1000 is in house and will be flashed within a few days, thanks to info from this site.

First batch will be made next Sunday. Probably a Pale Ale or an IPA.

Locally we have a brewery called Nøgne Ø, which produces some great beers. That is where the inspiration to brew my own beer came from.

As I understand there is two vital points when it comes to brewing beer; cleanliness and temperature control during fermentation. I'll wash my hands and let the STC-1000 take care of the temperature

Nøgne Ø have some pretty good beer. I've actually been a Corona with lime or wine guy, but last year I was introduced to Nøgne Ø and the different beers they have. A new world opened. Now I prefer beer over wine. So many great tastes.

A buddy of mine home brews and I joined him for a batch. Then I was sold. Now I am eagerly awaiting for the Speidel to arrive :cross:
