Hi,

Following receipt of a Cooper's brewing kit for Christmas, I have caught the bug!

I stumbled across this forum whilst searching for general hints and tips online, so thought I'd drop in and say hello!

I'm a complete and utter newbie when it comes to home brewing so am pleased to have found this forum.

So far, I've done 2 brews and am hoping they come out ok. Saying that, my brews have used the pre-made kit can type things, and all I've done is follow the instructions. Kinda makes me feel like someone who's coloured a paint by numbers picture claiming to be an artist!

My plan is to hopefully carry on brewing the way I currently am until I get the knowledge and confidence to cut the apron strings and do some real brewing!

Cheers all!

Welcome. Beautiful country up there. I'd love to go back. Haven't been in too long.

No shame starting with the canned kits. Helps you get the critical parts down first. As you grow as a brewer you'll realize it's a very forgiving process. Making good beer is easy. The challenge comes in making great beer.

Cheers!
