Greetings from Monterey, California! I'm still relatively new to home brewing, but I catch on fast.

I've got my third batch of extract brew fermenting now (a Kolsch). My prior two were an Irish Red Ale, which turned out good, and a stout whitch became infected. The ironic thing was I wasn't nearly as anal about sanitizing with the Irish Red Ale as I was with the stout, but the stout was the one that got infected.

I've currently got a 4 year old Nostalgia KRS2100 Kegerator for my home brewed beer, modified slightly to wage war on foam by adjusting the thermostat screws (not the knob, the screws on the actual WDF23A-L t-stat itself that tighten the coils); a copper pipe wrapped in insulation stuffed into the tower; and a fan pumping cold through a plastic tube into said copper pipe. I'm looking into a small chest freezer for a fermentation chamber, and a full-size fridge for all my non-homebrew craft beer.

Anywho, I joined due to the massive amounts of good information here. Just lurking around and I've come away with tons of good knowledge. Sorry for the dissertation, and cheers! :mug:

Welcome to fantasy island. Congrats on making beer! Sounds like you and your fridge are getting along well now, seems like a pretty sweet setup.
