Greetings all. I did my first brew about a month ago, now have 2 bottled, one in the primary, and one in the secondary. I found a lot of very helpful information in the forums so far, and plan to find more in the future. Needless to say, I found a good way to "waste" away my weekends.

I have been getting my supplies from Midwest in Minneapolis, but the shipping cost really bites! I have been wanting to go over to the healthfood store in Crystal Lake for quite some time. Now that it's riding season, perhaps my motorcycle and I can take a lovely ride sometime this week. Thanks for reminding me about it!

Where is Brew and Grow in Rockford? I'd like to stop there, too.

Brew and Grow is in the SE part of town; probably not too bad of a drive from Marengo. It's about 45 minutes for me. http://www.altgarden.com/store/cart.php?m=content&page=15. There is a catalog with prices on the website also. It is cheaper and has more variety than the the place in CL. I still buy some stuff in CL though, I work nearby.
