Hey all. Brand new brewer. Guess you could actually call me a pre-brewer as I haven't even got my equipment yet (friday or saturday hopefully). Been reading the forums for a few days, been looking into home brewing for a few months now and I'm finally taking the plunge.

Lots of useful information in these forums, looking forward to sharing my experiences with you fine folks.

Thanks BCandB. My girlfriend and I are chomping at the bit to get started, and I have a few online buddies who are brewers and are giving me tips. Should be a fun way to pass the time and hopefully drink some good beer.

Welcome aboard fellow Sunshine Stater. I returned to brewing after about eight years and learned more reading here for a few days than I ever learned doing it on my own back then. I'm still a major n00b too. Good luck with your first brew, and you are lucky to have your girlfriend interested in brewing.

Good luck on your first brew, you'll do fine. :mug:

Hey, memphomaniac .. looks like you're about 15 miles south of me.

Sounds good to me. You just let me know when. I am job-less and have all the time in the world. :ban:

Group brew sounds good, too.

:tank:

Yeah would definitely like to get together and learn from other brewers around this part of FL. I'm still doing partial mashes, but I'm collecting stuff to move to AG.

Do you know anything about the local club?

Sorry if I'm jacking the thread, but maybe some other area folks will surface. PM me if you want.

Welcome to the board and to homebrewing. I used to vacation in Daytona every year. I hadn't been there for several years, but I was shocked at all of the development down towards the Inlet when we were there last year. The Lighthouse Landing was always a great place to eat and escape from the main tourist traps. Anyway, good luck to you and your gf, you can learn a lot from the forums.
