I thought someone would've already made a thread about this, but I couldn't find any using the search function.

Anyway, I LOVE Great Lakes Oktoberfest, but I can't seem to find a clone recipe for it anywhere online. Does anyone know where I can find one?

The website says that they use Harrington 2-row as a base malt (I'm assuming they mean 2-Row Pilsner). It also says they use Munich and Caramel 45 malts, but it doesn't say how much of each. They also use Hallertau hops (sparingly).

It is interesting there are no clones for this one, but there is one for this: http://hopville.com/recipe/723418 (Ayinger amber lager) which IMO tastes a lot better.

I have been comparing amber lagers for a week or two and the Ayinger is very good. I've been buying 500ml bottles at $5 a pop (worth it).

I haven't brewed a lager because I don't have that type of temperature control. But if I were going to invest in temperature control, this clone would be the reason!
