Never brewed with maple syrup before. Went to a strip festival this weekend and picked up a jug of golden. I use dark on my pancakes. I'm guessing probably a light beer so this light syrup doesn't get lost.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Maybe it would work well in place of candi syrup in a belgian golden or pale?

Maybe a tripel recipe - "Mapel"?

It'll come out darker than a typical Golden or Tripel, but the third rule* of Belgian Beer Club is that there are no style rules.

*We don't talk about the first two rules.

If you want to keep any maple flavor, add it to finished beer then keg. Like honey, maple is just reaallly expensive sugar when added to the boil or even secondary.
