Im just now getting into brewing so im not a beer snob just yet.
Ive been drinking lots of coors, blue moon, and natty.

Give me a good recipe that will be similar in taste?

This will be my 3rd brew, will love you forever if you can recommend a good one!

what were the first two?

Why not go to the store and buy some natty. It will be cheaper than brewing it and you know that you like it.

4 pounds Extra light dry extract
3 pound Honey
1 oz. Amarillo at 60 minutes.
Nottingham Dry Yeast.

This is a Simple entry level Light colored beer,It will not taste like one you listed, but it should be better! The 3lbs Honey will thin the body a lot which should give you the illusion of a "light beer" but it will be a lot stronger.

I use Bottle harvested Hoegaarden yeast, but you could use White Labs - WLP400, White Labs - WLP410 or Wyeast Laboratories. Belgian Witbier 3944

I cannot vouch for this beer enough. It is really a spectacular beer. Served it at my dad's bluegrass party last weekend and I got so many compliments and people asking me about the process that my head was spinning. My friend's girlfriend who pretty much only drinks Bud Light loved it and said she couldn't drink BL anymore afterwards.

Ah ha! I now know I have a problem. I asked a question about this in the commercial beer harvest thread, and accidentally found my answer here. Wonderful. Thanks.

Sorry for the OT, OP.

Good luck with your brew, and let us know how it turns out.

Try a Kolsch recipe. Very simple ingredients from NB,you need:

1 lb Pilsen DME (60 min)
6 lbs Pilsen LME (15 min)
1 oz Tradition hops (60 min)
1 oz Hersbrucker hops (15 min)
WY2656 Kolsch yeast

The trick is to use the liquid yeast and ferment on the cool side of it's range (56-58F). Also give it cold conditioning in a fridge for 3 or 4 weeks, just like a lager. And pitch a 2.5qt starter. Light and crisp lawnmower beer for beer snobs (straight from the description)

You guys are awesome!!!

Thank you so much for the great recipes, im going to be ordering a few now!
