on a serious note its jacketed right? so two of the ports are for a chiller?

That's like having a pilot system for a microbrewery. It's definitely time to up your game...but keep your wife ;-) Cheers! Rick

It's got a coil that goes in the center 4" port that the chiller connects to. Spike makes an awesome mash tun as well as an awesome kettle and fermenter but they really need to re design the band clamp/gasket setup on the big fermenter it is virtually impossible to get on even if the gasket is seated correctly.

Yup! A jacketed unitank with a welded lid is definitely the way to go. The Brewtools F-series is the gold standard. The BrewBuilt X3-series is a close second. The Ss Brewtech Unitank 2.0 is extremely limited in terms of ports, but worthy of consideration.

Spike announced a jacketed unitank with a welded lid on December 19, 2023. However, Spike has apparently since come to the realization that homebrewing (in the U.S.) is in decline. It would appear the Spike jacketed unitank is on hold.

Brewtools will ship their Pro F-series unitank later this year. The Pro F-series is not only fully-jacketed (both cylinder and cone), but also fully-insulated (no goofy neoprene jacket). I'm doing my best to convince Brewtools to offer the Pro F-series in a 40L model. They're considering it.

Yes I have made 2 batches already it doesn't take long to max out the fermenter lol. I went from a 5 gallon anvil to 10 gallon brewzilla to this mon
Are you sure it's for you, maybe she's thinking of a new hobby for herself.

Very, very nice either way!
Yes it is very nice I must admit.
