Hi everyone

new to the brewing game and just looking to the brains trust out there with a general question about yeasting

is there any way to tell if u have put enough yeast into a batch?

i have a feeling i have (in my late night stupidity) put in only half the recommended us-05 into a batch. i had a flashback somehow today realizing this. everything is going pretty much to textbook in regards to gravity and producing plenty of co2 and the aroma and taste is still very good.

could this half batch of yeast be enough? can i add more too it 7 days in?

any advice would be great
thanks

If you put 1 dry packet(~11 grams) per 5 gallons that should be fine as long as it isn't a big beer. Past 1.060 or 1.070 many people here recommend dry packs.

Like 944play stated: Check out Mr. Malty if you were pitching from a previous cake or from a slurry in order to estimate.

Patience is key. If nothing is wrong don't make something wrong out of it. :p I drank my 1st beer like the day after I bottled it I was so impatient, but it pays off in the end!
