I have a few Brewbuddy 40 pint cider kits, and the yeast is gone off. Like dead, because it just does not start fermentation, even when left for days... I don't have cider yeast but I do have young's all purpose yeast... Will this be OK to use?

I wasn't familiar with that particular yeast, but after a google search it looks like it's a wine yeast. That will work just fine. It might end up giving you a very dry cider, but should work with no problems.

I just brewed 40 pints of very dry cider and now I am going to add milk sugar to these brews at the start, the last thing I want is dry cider :( will I buy cider yeast?

Some nice english ale yeast strains would make a tasty cider. You can also back sweeten if you want.

Personally, I would be very interested in a belgian strain, at least experimentally because the cider might not turn out as good as i would hope.
