Gelatin clump things in strainer

The strainer in my funnel picked up these gelatin looking chunks when I was pouring the wort into my carboy, is this what Irish moss is supposed to do or am I on drugs?

The clumps are irish moss that "bloomed" but didn't fully dissolve. How late in the boil did you add it?

Right, about what I'd expect from that look.
Next batch, try hydrating the IM for at least 15 minutes in enough water to cover, then add the mush with 15 minutes left in the boil...
