sorry for the janky pic... was the easiest way for me to illustrate though.

the red lines are the black pipe. the blue dots would be the gas valves. and then i'd be running flex line to the burners from the valves.

is this layout okay, or am i too close to the burner on that 1st tier?

thanks!

In my opinion, you're going to have some long lengths of flex hose on burners 2 and 3, and that gets expensive. Otherwise, it looks ok.

Personally, I would be uneasy with having the valve (and pipe) at burner level on your first tier. They are likely to get pretty warm in a 60 or 90 minute boil. The valve and all might be okay (I'll leave that to others more knowledgeable than I) , but how long before you burn your hand on the valve handle? Black pipe isn't that expensive. Why not make your run across the bottom? That way you can mount the valves low and come back up to the burners.

Agreed, I would keep the pipe and valves as far below the burners as possible.

cool. just the input i was looking for. i'll run the valve for the lower tier down lower. wasn't sure and the above diagram was the least "broken" run so thought i'd check on that first before making it more complicated.

thanks again!
