Here is my first creation after 12 batches of clones and modified clones brewed since December 2015.

I've always wanted to do a Citra/Galaxy beer so here is my interpretation of it. I'll be brewing this in the next week or so, let me know if you have any thoughts.

IBU: 130
ABV: 8.5%
Color: 8.6SRM

Grain
8 lbs 3.58 oz Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 1
6.19 oz Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM) Grain 2
6.19 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (40.0 SRM) Grain 3
8.00 oz Corn Sugar (Dextrose) (0.0 SRM) Grain 4

Hops
0.50 oz Columbus (Tomahawk) [14.0%] - Boil 90 min Hops 5
0.25 oz Hallertau Magnum [14.0%] - Boil 45 min Hops 6
0.50 oz Citra [12.0%] - Boil 15 min Hops 7
0.50 oz Galaxy [14.0%] - Boil 15 min Hops 8
0.50 oz Citra [12.0%] - Boil 5 min Hops 9
0.50 oz Galaxy [14.0%] - Boil 5 min Hops 10
0.50 oz Nelson Sauvin [12.0%] - Boil 5 min Hops 11
1.50 oz Citra [12.0%] - Steep 0 min Hops 12
1.50 oz Galaxy [14.0%] - Steep 0 min Hops 13

Fermentation/Dry Hop
1 pkgs Safale American (DCL/Fermentis #US-05) Yeast 14
0.50 oz Citra [12.0%] - Dry Hop 7 days Hops 15
0.50 oz Galaxy [14.0%] - Dry Hop 7 days Hops 16
0.50 oz Nelson Sauvin [12.0%] - Dry Hop 7 days Hops 17

In my opinion, I'd drop the C40 out, if you are adding it for color, maybe just use C10 or C15 and just a bit of it. With Citra and Galaxy I think you want a clean base for the hops to shine. 130 IBU's with these hops are far too much. I'd be shooting for 50 IBU's at most.

As far as the hop schedule. Columbus is a good one to start with. I'd kill the 45 minute addition as well. I'd also move you 15 minutes to 5 minutes and move your 5 minutes and add those to your steep. I'd also increase your dry to .75 of each.

true, IPA's with 130 IBU's are everywhere but I don't think you'll find very many of them that are showcasing your hop profile. I'd be very reluctant to hot over 75 IBU's with these hops. You'll want this really dry so the hops ands citrus forward notes pop.

Just my 2 cents though. In the end it'll still be beer.

I usually aim for my IBU to be 10x by ABV. So for an 8%ABV beer - 80IBU. Seems to work for my IPAs, but keep in mind, most of my hopping is late addition.

So just a little update this came out tasting awesome. I have some things I'm going to change next time but I like the outcome. I also did the same profile for 2 batches right after this one was "Paper Clip" (Motekua/Galaxy), and the other was "Green Light" (Summer/Topaz). I was getting a slightly darker beer then I was shooting for so my Green Light (3rd batch) I changed out the Vienna for Munich. Some reason Beer Smith was putting the SRM of Vienna extremely low and Munich was way high but it was wrong.

I'm going to do a single hop series the next 3 batches. I have to see what but I'm thinking Mosaic any one have any other recommendations? I wanted to do a falconers Flight possibly too. I've done Citra batch about 4 times now so I don't want to do a citra as one of the 3.

I'd lift up the amount of dry hops you use. 1.5 oz of dry hops is on the lower side for an Imperial IPA where you are showcasing the hops, just my opinion. I'd probably do an ounce of each or maybe more. You said this tasted great, but what about the aroma?
