I've previously raised the idea of adding cirus (specifically Grapefruit) to an IPA to create a greater citrus flavor. A friend of mine raised the idea of perhaps adding another fruit flavor to a really high alcohol content IPA. An Imperial IPA. I'm thinking the mix of a very strong IPA and a hint of sweet fruit would be an interesting combination. Has anyone ever tried this? Adding any type of fruit to an IPA? Or a double IPA? I think it would be a lot of fun!
