frozen scoby? can it be revived and used?

A few months ago I was given a frozen SCOBY. We had one at the time, so just kept it frozen. Now, we are in need of a new scoby. Will making a tea adding some vinegar and dropping it in? Or do I need to go find a new scoby?

You could try it, but be aware, there is no guarantee the microbial popluations that once existed will return. You probably killed a fair amount of them and the rest should be in a state like suspended hibernation.
