I just bought a new Frigidaire to hold a Spaten half keg, which is too tall for most commercial kegerators. I plan to remove the inside shelves and install just one keg and one exterior tap. I will probably install the CO2 bottle inside the fridge since there will be plenty of room.

Two questions:

1. What have others used to level and reinforce the floor to support the 150# keg?
2. Any issues drilling through the sides or door for the spout?

Thanks for any help.

Shouldn’t have any issues with drilling through sides or door. I’ve always used plywood and 2x4’s or similar for creating a floor.

These are my two 17cf top-freezer ferm fridges. Might provide some ideas.
The one on the right had a full set of supports at the right height while the one on the left didn't, hence all the supporting structure (there's another lateral support on top of the hump at the back wall as well).

I've had five full kegs in both of these - so ~250 pounds loading on the plywood platforms. No issues.
