Hello, currently brewing my first batch, a nice looking oktoberfest style ale! Fermentation is on the down trend now on day 6 and finnally settling down.

Thinking about how i am going to store all this wonderful beer. I am going to bottle.

If given the choice would you purchase a fridge/freezer combo or a freezer to modify for beer temperatures? Also, what is the best temperature for my beers after they are bottled?

Thanks! :D

In order to carbonate properly you need to keep your bottles fairly warm - rule of thumb around here is 3 wks @ 70 deg. Then refridgerate at least a couple days before opening.

What will you be using your new purchase for - did you want a fermentation chamber, an extra fridge for holding bottles, or are you possibly planning to keg someday and want something that can be modified for dispensing? Searching the forums for fermentation chamber and kegerator will give you some ideas.

Primary purpose is finished beer storage. I may like a split setup for fermentation and storage as well, not sure if this is possible with one appliance. My basement is at 58-60 degrees so its a bit cool for some yeasts. No plans for kegs.
