Flaked Oats??

Is there a difference between flaked oats from LHBS and Quaker Oats at the grocery store?

Not that I know - I use rolled oats from the grocery store, like Quaker Oats.

They should be the "quick oats", not the regular.

I was under the impression that you can use the non-quick oats if you cook them first.
Which is what I did with the oatmeal stout I have in the fermenter right now. I did a mini mash though so I'm not too worried about conversion rates.
