First wort hopping question

So if you are trying to first wort hop your brew, do you remove the hops prior to boiling?

No, they stay in for the whole boil.

I think Beersmith didn't account for the 90 minute boil time when I assigned pre-wort hopping.

Ahhh. BS said that X amount of FWHs will give X amount of IBUs for 60 minutes, but you actually boiled them for 90 minutes? Something like this?

If this is the case, then you are probably sitting perfect. The reasoning is that while you might get more IBUs from a 90 minute boil (a very small extra IMO), they should all be perceived as a little smoother. Therefore, extra IBUs but smoother profile EQUALS perfect!

I wouldn't worry about it if it were me.
