I started brewing beer around January (and apfelwein), and decided to try my hand at wine this fall. I was looking using a kit for at least my first attempt or two, and decided that if I'm making wine I would rather try making something that I'm less likely to pick up at the store on my own.
Can someone suggest a variety of red wine that turns out well and doesn't require extended aging ( I know they all get better with age, but being my first batch I am expecting it will be drunk faster than future batches).
I am currently looking at Vinifera Noble kits since thats one that my lbh stocks.
