First time brewer from NJ

Hello all,

I'm Jake, going to be brewing my first beer this weekend

Turns out there is a pretty neat home brew store around the corner from my office, so I figured I had to try it out! Just got all the ingredients/equipment for a pale ale and I'm planning to brew on Saturday!

To be honest I've always been interested in it but was under the impression that I would not be able to possibly make a decent beer. That all changed recently when my old roommate from college shared his home brew with me, and it was some of the best beer I have ever tasted!

Hopefully with the help of the knowledge on this board, I'll get to that point quickly!!

Your profile says central Jersey, so I'm assuming you work near Freehold's Brewer's Apprentice. They're usually pretty good there. Be careful when they are busy because you can get lost in the shuffle there...

Your profile says central Jersey, so I'm assuming you work near Freehold's Brewer's Apprentice. They're usually pretty good there. Be careful when they are busy because you can get lost in the shuffle there...

Yep, that's the place. I live in Monroe Township. One of my coworkers has been homebrewing for years now so he took me there and helped me figure out what I wanted. I can see what you mean about getting lost in the shuffle though!
