First time making an Apfelwein. So here's what I used.
5 gallons of White House apple juice with no additives.
2lbs of brown sugar
1 packet of Red Star Premier Cuvee wine yeast.
OG: 1.060
mixed it all up in my 6.5 gallon carboy, now to play the waiting game. I do have one question though, how long does it take to start fermenting? just curious as to when i'll hear the air lock start bubbling.
I also figured im gonna leave it sitting the in primary for about 2 or 2.5 months, then transfer it to bottles and let it sit till the 6 month mark if can wait that long. wish me luck!
