So i thought I'd give an American wheat a try as my second all grain brew. I've heard these two hops will impart a lemon/lime accent. I have never used these hops so I am curious as to how this turns out

RECIPE EDITED

I know you guys and gal have seen 100000000000 of theses recipes but us noobs do greatly appreciate your input

Sounds like a tasty beer. I like my wheats a bit lighter so I'm not sure I'd go with the munich, but that is just personal preference. 148 is a little on the low side for the style, but again, that is just personal preference of playing up the crisp/dry angle, not something that is "wrong".

I agree I'd personally leave out the Munich but your choice, I don't think you need the carapils either. Haven't had a chance to try the Sorachi Ace but would love to in something like this - I say go for it with the hop schedule. I also mash my American wheats a little higher 150-152 range. I've used 1010 quite a bit and it's always consistent performer for me in the 76-78% attenuation range at those mash temps. Don't fear the sulfur if you get it during fermentation!

edit - oh and I always throw some rice hulls in, might want to consider depending on your setup

I would ditch the carapils. I like my wheat beers light and dry. Mashing at 148 should dry it out. Let us know how it tastes.

I concur with the carapils. With wheat beers you really don't need something to increase foam (which I use Carapils for...), it will be foamy enough on its own.

Ok so remove the munich and pils and mash higher sweet ty do i need to increase the wheat and pale

Yeah, if you're taking out the munich and carapils I'd up the others to make up the difference.

Something more like this

Maybe also add some flaked wheat. My last wheat, I used white wheat, flaked, and German light wheat. Also a pound of crystal 10. It was great.
