Alright, my first AG is coming up and I've come up with my very own AG northern english brown recipe. All suggestions are welcome!

Grain:
8.0 lbs Maris Otter
0.5 lbs Biscuit
0.25 lbs Chocolate Malt
0.75 lbs Crystal 60
0.5 lbs Wheat Malt

Hops:
1 oz EKG 9 (~7.3 AA)
1 oz Fuggles (~3.5 AA)

Volume: 5.5 gal
OG: 1.051
IBU: 27
Yeast: 2 Packets Danstar Nottingham, maybe a wyeast british ale yeast, I'm undecided

Single infusion mash, batch sparge.

Hops will probably be split 50/50 between 60 min and 15 min additions because the EKG available to me are a little high in AA - perhaps i'll use all the EKG at 60 and the fuggles at 15, not sure.

It's based roughly on a Brooklyn Brown recipe, made a little smaller with some lighter hopping via english hop varieties and english pale malt

I say add some Special Roast to the grain bill somehow. It adds that special something to brown ales, IMO.
