Hello,

Just looking for some feedback (critic) on an all grain batch I made a month back. This was about my 6th all grain brew but the first recipe I put together utilizing some ingredients I had left over from previous batches.

The question I have is that I have never had a beer in the years of doing this that has had a final gravity of 1.002 (so low). I'm guessing the candy sugar?

8lbs 2 Row
.55lbs Caramel 10L
.92lbs Caramel 60L
.5lbs Clear Candy Sugar
.27# Flaked Oats

1z Cascade @ 60
.5z Challenger @ 15
.5z Falconers @ 1

OG 1.056
FG 1.002

Yeast US 05

I just kegged it about a week ago and the flavor has improved since I tasted it when I kegged it. Obviously it has a very light body, higher alcohol, but the flavor is okay not great.

Just looking for your thoughts on the recipe and maybe something you would have done differently. Thanks for your help!

Yooper,

Thanks for the reply. I recorded my mash temp at 154 but when I fly sparged it may have been in the 150 range because I don't have a big enough pot for the sparge water yet. Thanks again
