First Lager

I just picked up a large chest freezer today and will join the lagering ranks!!

Does anyone have an easy recipe for a first time lager. Preferably extract w/ steep or partial grain, but I could convert an AG recipe if needed. Does not need to be a light lager. I really like black lagers and my wife loves Sam Adams Octoberfest. So something darker might be nice.

I have an Americanized maibock recipe that we just loved. We liked it so much that I wouldn't share it with anybody, and called it MYbock. If your wife likes Octoberfests, she'd probably really like the MYbock.
