Just switched from bottles to kegerator. I have 100 bottles of my last 2 batches of home brew and wondered if it's possible to pour those into a corny keg for my first keg. Good idea? Bad idea? Let me know. Thanks everybody.

Probably could be done, but issues I'd be concerned with include aeration of the beer as it's poured and you'd have to wait again for the yeast from the bottles to settle out.

But I've never done anything like this before so it's just my thoughts.

I shoulda read the posts first. Looks like others have done the same and it works ok. To save you a minute, they all recommend you CO2 purge your corny first so you minimize aerating your brew. K? Thanks.

Personally, it sounds like a big hassle. If the beer is already in bottles, just leave 'em and get started on the next batch for your keg. You know you need to brew more anyway. ;)
Just my opinion though.

Chris
