So, I have a large amount of cascade to get rid of, but I don't want to use only cascade, to give the beer a deeper hop profile.

I'm not a big fan of a harsh bitterness. I'm more into hop flavor.

11.5# 2row
2.5# CaraMunich I
1.5# Vienna
2 ounces Chocolate (for color)

1 oz Centennial (60)
1 oz Cascade (20)
2 oz Cascade (10)
2 oz Cascade (0)

2 oz Citra (dry hop 7 days)
2 oz Citra (dry hop 3 days)

If you prefer a smoother approach switch the 60min to first wort. I use FWH in most of my IPAs now because it gives a mellower bitterness.

I suggest take off an oz on the 10 or 20 min addition and add it to the flame out addition. Also tone down the caramunich, that seems like a ton of crystal that would be overly sweet. I like to shoot for 4-7% crystal in my IPA's. Other than that the hop schedule sounds solid.

The grain bill is loosely based on BierMuncher's Outer Limits IPA. I like caramel sweetness to balance out the hop bitterness and freshness.

Thanks for your input on the hop schedule, I changed that.

I would cut the chocolate and flip-flop a Cascade for a Citra at flame out/dry hop.

Really, from an objective point of view, I don't see anything wrong with the recipe. My only question: why dry hop the extra 2oz for 3 days?

I haven't dry hopped much myself, just curious what the reasoning is

I find that when the dry hopping flavor fades away (which it does after a couple of days), the flavor is somewhat different. Hence a 2 oz DH for 7 days and a 2 oz DH for 3 days after. Personal choice, nothing scientific.
