I have brewed maybe 6 all-grain batches and each one I learn something new and figure out a new way to make things better. There were some bad ones too and I drank em all . I have also limited myself to only buying 1 item towards brewing each month. Nothing huge like kegs but like a stirplate, next month is a grain mill. stuff like that.
Anyways to the topic at hand. I have two parts to this. I graduate from PSU with my S/W engineering degree in three weeks. A couple weeks ago I decided I want one of my brews at the graduation party (the fire hall is supplying a decent local lager and one of the BMC). So I decided to take another stab at a triple I made at the beginning of summer. Used Wyeast Belgian Schelde just because I wanted to try a new one. The first day or two showed no sign of fermentation I was getting nervous, but then day 3 my 6.5gal carboy was filled with krausen. (two weeks later) I taste a sample yesterday and holy crap!!:rockin: It was the best ever!! My GF and I were drinking a glass warm and uncarbed but man it was delicious!! Now that I can see the true awesomeness that I made I want to brew non-stop.
Now for part 2 of this. The triple had an OG of 1.095. I was expecting between 1.085 and 1.090 but oh well I'll take it. It is currently at 1.020. Little high for a triple but the OG was high so I'll take it. My question for the forum is that I am having doubts now about serving 5gals of this stuff at my grad party. What do you think should I or shouldn't I?
