So I got all my new christmas gifts unpacked, assembled and cleaned yesterday. 10 gallon ss brew kettle and a cooler mash tun. Plus I took some copper tubing I had leftover from installing my central air conditioning last year and cobbed together an immersion chiller. Now I'm all set to start off 2016 with my first all grain batch. Going with a basic english bitter.

8 lbs maris otter
.75lbs crystal 15
1oz kent goldings +1/2 oz fuggles at 60 min
1/2 oz kent plus 1/2 oz fuggles at 15
1/2 oz kent at 5
mash at 153 for an hour
batch sparge

I smack pack wyeast 1945 neobrittania.

Mash went well, boiling now. Hoping 2016 starts off with a winner!
