I would like to try a partial mash recipe for a good porter. Any one got a good recipe that is easy to follow for a starter.:fro:

Not a lot of partial mash recipes here so here's a quick partial I did based off of the 'Black Butte Porter' clone recipe that's floating around. This turned out very good but requires mashing 6 lbs of grain if you can.. Otherwise just mash what you can and omit the amount of 2 row adding extract to make up for it..

3 lbs 2 row
6oz Dextrine
12oz Chocolate Malt
12 oz crystal 75
1 pound wheat malt
4 lbs LME

Mash @ 155 for an hour. Sparge @170 for 10min. Add a lb or so of extract and start 90 min boil. Add the rest of extract with your 5 min hop addition. I got around SG of 1.052 & FG 1.015..

1/2 Galena 90min
1/4 cascade 30min
1/4 mt hood 5 min

I used Saf04.
