So I just got done boiling up my very first batch and putting it in the fermentation bucket, then went to install the airlock (filled with easy clean no rinse sanitizer) into the lid and like an idiot I had my hand over the top which forced some sanitizer down into the bucket. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens but I was wondering if maybe someone might be able to calm my nerves, or give me the bad news....

If it's no rinse sanitizer, you're getting a little in there anyway. RDWHAHB.

If you put the airlock in before you move the bucket, they tend to distort shape and suck in sanitizer as soon as you set it back down also. Vodka, sanitizer, no big whoop.

it'll be fine. relax, don't worry, and have a craft brew. now comes the hard part - waiting 2 weeks to bottle, and another 3 to drink. don't rush it! :mug:

I'm very happy to report that upon checking in on my fermenter this evening, we are bubbling away at nice controlled but steady rate! Guess you guys were right and the tbsp or so wasn't anything to worry about. Now for the hard part, waiting a month to try some! I am now an official airlock sniffer though lol.
