I'm so incredibly proud it's insane!! I bought the LME kit of the Summer Crisp IPA from AHS and added to the hops by tossing in some Mosaic that I purchased separately and added to the aroma boil and dry hopping with it.
Didn't do a secondary ferment based on advice in here. 2 weeks in primary (brew bucket) 2 weeks in bottles. OG around 1.059 FG 1.009
The alcohol boost (extra sugar packet at flameout) pushed the final ABV to 6.6%. It came out nice and bright and bitter and the aroma is perfect, I really love these Mosaic hops and would strongly recommend them for flavor and aroma. The beer has a touch of citrus and plenty of bitter. I knew this was more of an APA kit and I'm a hop head so that's why I decided to kick it up a notch. Wish I could have calculated the IBUs.
Anyways I think it's a smashing success for my first brewed beer ever and here are the pics.
Honestly, it's one of the best IPAs I've ever tasted. I know I'm biased but DAMN it's good!!
