I'm so incredibly proud it's insane!! I bought the LME kit of the Summer Crisp IPA from AHS and added to the hops by tossing in some Mosaic that I purchased separately and added to the aroma boil and dry hopping with it.

Didn't do a secondary ferment based on advice in here. 2 weeks in primary (brew bucket) 2 weeks in bottles. OG around 1.059 FG 1.009

The alcohol boost (extra sugar packet at flameout) pushed the final ABV to 6.6%. It came out nice and bright and bitter and the aroma is perfect, I really love these Mosaic hops and would strongly recommend them for flavor and aroma. The beer has a touch of citrus and plenty of bitter. I knew this was more of an APA kit and I'm a hop head so that's why I decided to kick it up a notch. Wish I could have calculated the IBUs.

Anyways I think it's a smashing success for my first brewed beer ever and here are the pics.

Honestly, it's one of the best IPAs I've ever tasted. I know I'm biased but DAMN it's good!!

.

I just never looked into it and I can't remember but I might have tossed some mosaic in the bittering boil too and have no idea how much. I basically sprinkled this separate pack of mosaic all over in different spots

You could probably make a decent calculation based on the amount of hops you started with in the packet less the amount of hops you have left. Your numbers look good and the beer looks fantastic.

Nothing like a truly fresh IPA! After a few more weeks in the bottle you can expect some of that fantastic hop aroma and flavor to fade a bit, and will probably taste more like a commercial IPA. I love Mosaic hops as well, cheers on your successful brew!

Congrats! That first one is special! Make sure you keep an accurate inventory so you know when you have only one left! I drank my last one only to figure out it was the last one....such a bummer lol.

Congratulations and welcome to the obsession. Sounds like you did a great job. My first one, while drinkable, was far from impressive. Had a few off flavors from fermenting a little too warm. ( at that time I thought 70 degrees room temp meant 70 fermenting temp as well.)

Looks great and thanks for making me thirsty.
