What type of beer should I try for my first beer I want some kind of amber ! ? Aby help or tips !? Goin to local home brew supply to buy kit and ingridients thanks

My first batch was an Amber Ale, and it was delicious!

It was Black Dog Amber Ale from Midwest..

Take a look at what's available at your LHBS, choose a kit that tickles your fancy. Grab a better pack of yeast while you're there; The yeast inside the kits are a little questionable. It'll all turn out great though, welcome to the addiction!

Depending on your lhbs, you may only have a few choices of ambers with kits.I think they only cary a few brands of kits. Get some liquid or dry 05 or 04,notthingham yeast though. I would read some reveiws on the particular kits you see also.

Yeah I agree on getting a good yeast. I upgraded my kit to WLP001 California Ale yeast. It's a great all purpose ale yeast IMO. I washed the yeast cake and have re-used it twice since then with great results...

Get safale 05 yeast which is a tear and pour and cheaper than the liquid yeasts. No worries about whether it will work on you very first batch. It's working like a champ for me. Also make sure to ferment at 58-62 degrees room temperature for the first few days. A bucket of water can allow for a few degrees warmer. Look at cooper drops to prime with to make that process easier for you. 1 drop per bottle.
