I just bottled my first batch :ban: , a nut brown ale, and tasted a bit. It's a bit sweeter than I expected.

Will carbonation make it any less sweet?

A little background on my process...
Brewed on 05/21.
Primary for 5 days.
Secondary for 14 days.
Bottled today.

Of course I'll let it bottle-condition for 3-4 weeks before making any real judgements, and if it's not that great I'll wait another month and try it again...

you tasted it before of after primming?
after primming it is usually rather weet ;^)

Good news is: that "sweetness" will turn into wonderfull bubbles in 3 weeks :^D

Damn...
I hadn't thought about that.

You hit it right on.
I put my priming sugar/water solution (after boiling/cooling) in the bottling bucket and racked my beer in. During my bottling, I pulled off about 2 oz. and sampled. Didn't even put two and two together.

Thanks, m f.
