I just wanted to give some props to Mrs. BlondIrishGuy for helping bottle the first batch of BlondIrishGuy's Brown Ale. She is the most wonderful wife in the world. She was bottling while I was putting on the caps.

There was a little left after bottling the two cases, and I tried some. It smelled great and tasted much better green than I ever thought it would. I am pretty stoked to try my first batch after a few weeks of bottle conditioning. I let it sit in the primary for 22 days.

After the bottling we brewed up another batch. This time we are making a Blonde Ale... Go figure.

Next up is going to be a hard cider. Mrs. BlondIrishGuy is not a beer drinker, but she tried some Strongbow hard cider the other day and really liked it, so I want to brew her something. We will probably be doing some wines soon too.

This is a great hobby. The waiting makes me feel like a kid about 3 weeks from Christmas all the time.

My wife helps out too each time, sure does make things go a bit easier :)

About feeling like a kid awaiting Christmas, I totally hear ya there, I have that feeling too. Albeit it's waaay different since when I was a kid I wasn't beset with wondering if things will come out good or if I should've done something just a bit differently. And of course all the while knowing if it doesn't come out just right it will be at least another month or so to check any new revisions LOL.
