The Lazy Fisherman I

Batch size 5.5 gallons

Grains:
9.5Lbs Belgian pilsner
1Lb Belgian caramunich
0.25Lbs Belgian cara 45
0.25Lbs Special B <--- this has been changed

Hops:
1.5oz Opal @45mins
1oz Saaz @10mins

Yeast: WLP575

Mash @150F for 60mins

If you have any suggestions for this recipe or think it's going to be garbage please tell me as I am not fully familiar with how different grains, hops and yeast affect beers.

Sounds tasty.

Change the caramunich to Vienna or Munich.

If you want the sweetness of the 45, great. Keep it. If you just want to darken it down a bit, change it to 4oz of Special B (or half and half). My taste buds love Special B with Saaz/Sterling.

FYI, change the yeast to 3711 and ferment it at about 82 to 85 and you would have a really nice basic and mild Saison.

Let us know how it turns out!

Decided to go for a 20 gallon batch, went with WLP575 in one fermenter and WLP550 in the other (brew store didn’t have two WLP575s)
