First AG

Just brewed my first AG. Loosely based it on BierMunchers Centennial Blonde (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f66/centennial-blonde-simple-4-all-grain-5-10-gall-42841/) but had to do some subs due to ingredient availability.

Got 73% effeciency - pretty stoked about that.

The first time AG is like doing some other things in life for the first time, it's really scary and exciting, over way too quick andddddddddddddd you'll do better after some experience. Haha.

Gotta fix my mash tun - had a bit of a drip when I was sparging.

I'm nuts. I did my first AG and my first recipe I created at the same time.
Simple recipe for 1.5 gal batch
3lb of US 2 Row
2 oz of Crystal 40
4 oz of Crystal 60

.25 oz cascade at 60 min
.5 oz cascade at 15 min
.25 oz cascade dry hopped for I am planning on 7 days.

Half a packet of S-05 for yeast.

I will see how it turns out. Tasting it before putting it in the fermenter it was pretty good, sweet but good.
If it is not good, only 12 beers or so to drink or I can throw it out without feeling bad.

I was going to create, but I stumbled upon that recipe and it looked good - good comments and reviews. Ended up having to sub some stuff in - we'll see how it turns out.

Mine was quite sweet as well - figure though, the yeast hasn't had a chance to chew through any of the sugar yet, so that will tone down.

If it's really bad, all you have to do is find 11 friends to offer a brew to eh! Haha.
