Not a real doctor. Lives in garage.
Meadows is garbage.I think the important thing is, the beer in question was not very good. There is a reason it was a one off.

Sending you a membership to bison brewing club.I ended up drinking all mine as i was not sending it to others.
I will drink anything, even if not good.
Never been so was wanting to check out the new location, as I've heard it's really nice. Thanks for the food recs!If you're going to Beer Rev (which you should) best places to eat IMO are
Shan Dong: https://www.yelp.com/biz/shandong-restaurant-oakland
Belly: https://www.yelp.com/biz/belly-oakland-2
They have food at Drakes, but I'd prob skip the venue all together unless you're keen on trying their beers on tap or want to sit on their patio which is solid.
It is a nice spot, can get really crowded and loud (it's also a very big space). Food is decent, but not amazing and that describes their beers as well IMO. It's basically a kid friendly chain restaurant atmosphere/experience. If it is not overly crowded and a nice day, you can do a lot worse.Never been so was wanting to check out the new location, as I've heard it's really nice. Thanks for the food recs!
IF you go to Drakes, the Good Hop(?) is like a block away. Worth the drop in. LOTs on tap and to go.Never been so was wanting to check out the new location, as I've heard it's really nice. Thanks for the food recs!
Near Temescal and about a mile from Good Hop/Drakes there's some good eats. If you're there during the day and want a chicken sando, you have Bakesale Betty, or there's Rosamunde Sausage, Lane Splitters pizza (can't vouch for this, but it looked good on "Check, Please") and my favorite in my admittedly somewhat limited experience of that area: Burma Superstar. They have other locations, but this is a good one. If you go, get the Tea Leaf salad.Well tried this on the other site and didn't really get a response, maybe someone can help me out here...
My birthday is the 31st so I'm planning to head up to SF for the day for the usual suspects(Cellarmaker/City Beer/Toronado) before heading to the east bay for the hotel for the night. Thinking I'll pop over early on the 1st to see what cans they have available still since they're closing at 5 on the 31st. Another double can release on the 2nd means I might stay 2 nights in the East Bay, which is cool because I've never had a chance to check out the spots over there yet. Current list of places I'm wanting to check out: Fieldwork, Rare Barrel, Temescal, Faction, Drake's Dealership, Beer Revolution
Any recommendations for SF/East Bay for food/beer/etc? My wife will be with me and while she doesn't mind tagging along to breweries with me, finding some great food where I can get a pint or two is always nice for her, or anything cool to do nearby. Thanks for the help!
The thing that gets me about this whole thing (and it comes up with Belgium too) is that, no **** it's not made in Vermont. Saying "Vermont-style" is redundant when something is obviously made in California. Getting all uppity about it is just saying "I am stupid and I think other people are stupid too." I guess it's a useful thing to admit, and I'm not particularly surprised by Shane Hell, but come the **** on people. This isn't some nameless packaged product that tries to hide where it's from.Couldn't they have just said "Vermont-Style" and (hopefully) avoided this problem?
I guess I also have no idea what a Vermont[-style] farmhouse ale is even supposed to mean aside from "we're trying to duplicate a hoppy Hill Farmstead saison".
Also, if you're there around opening, the bagel sandwich at Authentic Bagels a block over is really good and probably a third the price of any of these other suggestions. If you're going to Beer Rev (which you should) best places to eat IMO are

I dig the burger joint around the corner, too. Also hella cheap. The thing that gets me about this whole thing (and it comes up with Belgium too) is that, no **** it's not made in Vermont. Obviously it's redundant. But there are also obviously those that get worked up about it. My point was, is it really worth the pissing and moaning to not just play along, even if you think adding *-style is sort of stupid? The thing that gets me about this whole thing (and it comes up with Belgium too) is that, no **** it's not made in Vermont. The Trappist usually has some good stuff on, and it's a short walk from Beer Rev (and Shan Dong), but their beers can be laughably expensive. I have definitely walked in, looked at the taplist, and walked out because of that. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I really appreciate it. Are Hog's Apothecary or Trappist worth stops?

Hog's no IMO.Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I really appreciate it. Are Hog's Apothecary or Trappist worth stops?
But Hog's Apothecary is owned by a Cicerone!Hog's no IMO.
Trappist can be, I'd check the taplist on their website first. Their Patio is great on a nice day, and they also have food albeit slightly more expensive than it should be for slightly less food than it should be. I'm not a big guy, but **** if I dont think about order two of their sandos bc one doesn't do ****.
What pissing and moaning? I think Fieldwork's twitter person reacted essentially as they should have, which is saying "you people are being morons, piss off." Is that pissing and moaning? I dunno, when one side is so obviously wrong I think being sassy at them is fine.Obviously it's redundant. But there are also obviously those that get worked up about it. Well, sure, but pretty much all the names for recent trends are moronic. West Coast IPA was always dumb, NE IPA is dumb, Vermont whatever is dumb too. Just use a meaningful description, like hazy or tropical or, well, I'm not sure what the **** Fieldwork was going for with that beer.I mean, calling your beer a "Vermont beer" in 2017 is embarrassing and really shows your hand that you are not afraid to chase trends for a cheap buck, but that's about all the wrongdoing Fieldwork is guilty of here IMO.
As @stupac already stated, there is basically zero chance people are being duped into buying a beer they believe to be from Vermont. Warmest spots in hell reserved for litigious nitpickers.
Shaun is still a total dipshit I see.
Pity the beer is so good.
Clove and Hoof, about a block away from Hog's has some really good sandwiches. Not an extensive tap but always one keg of Fieldwork on. Was also featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives so you can impress your wife with that. Cato's nearby is also a cool local spot with a decent bar food menu and good tap list. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I really appreciate it. Are Hog's Apothecary or Trappist worth stops?
Plenty of good spots on Solano in Albany. Thinking of heading there myself tonight depending on how motivated I feel once I get home.Heading up tonight. Have been many times, but have never eaten in the area. Are there any decent spots nearby for food? It's looking kind of slim around there on yelp (I know) and what not.
