Middlebrow vs. PDubs for the title: http://thehopreview.com/blog/chicago-brewery-bracket-championship

A TalkBeer rivalry dating all the way back to 2015. You couldn't script it any better folks!
i got yelled at by pete for saying this was sorta embarrassing. i guess ultimately its good for someone opening a brick/mortar business but i still cringe. he said at least 10 different beer buyers last week said they voted for us so i guess any weird clickbait press is press in 2018. i voted for CansIn2022 (RIP).

"Richard Lobo, who is named as a president and manager of the new company, is the founding partner at Muirlands Capital and has served on Green Flash Brewing’s board of directors since last April, according to his LinkedIn."

A logical pick for trimming the fat.

I feel like Cruz Blanca doesn’t get much press, chatter or love but had a quiet lunch with a wheatwine, mango Berliner, BA brown ale, hazy IPA and a coconut porter that all blew my socks off. I don’t remember them being that lights out before but damn they’re coming into their own.

The Bayless Effect

**** yes. Hopefully this is not just a one time thing

Giving some love to Half Acre. Their sixtel prices are ridiculous; $65 for Tuna and $75 for week old Vallejo. Chili cook-off at my work just got a lot better.

God damn. Would love a sixtel of Tuna for the summer. What I REALLY want is for Rev to ship Fist City out here. **** I love that beer

Depends on you personal preference.

But yes.

Pony is one of the only Half Acre beers that I don't care for at all, but very excited for Fader. They should can Southern Range too.

You, and I think all of Chicago, my friend. Rev stays killing the game and running goose island off of every last one of their corners. Although, I also don't care for Rev Pils so maybe I'm dumb.

"Goose Island also has intellectual property rights to the White Sox’s name and logo, which will be used in marketing and advertising."

“The reality is you’ll see a bigger presence from Goose Island because it’s a bigger deal, but Revolution was able to carve out something that works for them,” Boyer said. “Goose Island was more aggressive in their approach and we worked to maximize their exposure throughout the ballpark.”

Last year at Sox games, I drank (just off the top of my head): Apex Predator, Fierce, Jungle Boogie, Pseudo Sue, god knows how many Fist Cities and various Heroes, Two Hearted, and maybe even something hazy. All for prices not out-of-line with your standard bar.

I also got to pet lots of dogs one night.

Used to be a vendor at Wrigley, loved that job.

Having said that, the quality of food service and beer options there is shamefully poor.

Bleachers are OK, with Doug's and the other stands on the back concourse, but it's all basically carnival food and the options in the seats are just terrible. Especially in the upper deck. Even the chef popups they had at the Sheffield stand sucked and were overpriced. I believe their food service contract is extremely limited for the food they can carry and there is almost nothing local at all.

Beer selection is horrible and completely dominated by inbev. I can't think of a single place to get a good craft option and they freaking got rid of Bob Chin's Mai Tai. I almost lost my flipping mind last year when I realized they switched that out I was so pissed.

On the bright side, bringing in a pint and a bag of taco bell is never an issue.

Depends on the Beggars. I have yet to find a Beggars of similar quality to the two in Blue Island. Same for Aurelio's Homewood & Tinley. Franchising kills pizza.

This. I've had a wide array of Beggar's pizza at this point, some good some bad. The bar in left center is great. Anytime I can get a cocktail at a ballgame is going to be a good time.

ive spent so much time and energy defending aurelio's by the haters who have eaten at the other 30 locations. if they only knew...can you still order original oven at homewood?

I believe the original ovens were moved to Oak Lawn (Or one of the other 50 'Oak' towns) years ago. Having eaten there numerous times since, I can say their pizza seems the same to me as when I was a kid.
