8 unopened cases of bcbs sitting on the floor of the local total wine . This is far after their initial 20 cases of regular on Black Friday , in addition to variants. Can't say I see large amounts of other GI products moving the rest of their year here either.. Grabbed the first two bottles today. . Seems like the distribution of this could be better.

Am I bitching about the same thing others have? Yea I guess I am.

For the record, .. I do not support the new lame ass bottles, sizes, packaging or pricing , it makes me want to not buy any; but the stuff does taste good still. I'm weak minded, tho zero desire for the retarded variants . Was cool when you could get coffee bombers for 16$, but would have to get some good ass anal lube for the new crap .

Has anyone had this (who the **** is) Hailstorm tequila barrel-aged Vlad the Conquistador ("Russion Imperial Stout with Agave Syrup, Cocoa, Cinnamon, and Chile Peppers")? There's a bunch sitting on the shelf at the Lakeview Binny's for the low, low price of $18.99/bomber.

It sounds...

Had it at the source last weekend. Was not good. On the flip side the acoustic cover dudes were the best "bar" music I've heard in a couple of years.

Bourbon is pretty solid though.

Bleh

Never had a hailstorm that was even remotley decent. Let alone worth their prices
I'm with you here. I had BB Vlad at a CCBW event last year and thought it was nothing to write home about, and have yet to meet a tequila barrel beer I've liked...not about to drop $19+ tax on a bomber of what, in all likelihood, won't really float my boat.

When BCBS is cheaper on an ounce-by-ounce basis, your **** is too damn expensive.

I agree with what you're saying esp the tequila part, but your last line is apples to oranges imo... when comparing oz prices, cheers...
Yeah, I wrote that poorly...the BCBS bit wasn't intended as a style or quality comparison, but because it's historically the butt of expensive beer jokes.

Everything they had at stoutfest was a bucket pour.
Including bba.
That's how it went at the CCBW event for me...walked around with a giant pour of BBA Vlad the Constipator for a while, then discretely dumped it in a bush so I could go drink more Buckley and coffee Milk Eyed Mender.

Now i want middlebrows sour porter from stoutfest...
Doin a kettle sour trial on the big system soon...depending on tweaks, we've penciled in bottled blended batch in fall.
Where? Non-descript building in Bucktown?
currently west town/east humboldt, but that's this week. Chicago & alderman really encourage small businesses with small start up capital, like they are so super helpful & friendly. They in no way want established millionaires dominating blocks and giving kickbacks (would you mind maybe sponsoring a fundraiser for a few hundred people, probably just a few kegs, is that cool?)

Hello Riot Fest.

so say someone is moving and wants to like sell a few cases of beer. mostly like KBS/BCS/BBpt5/derk lerd verticals & upland/3 floyds/yaddy yadda. say this person doesnt want to be scum bag and sell it for super inflated prices on like craigslist/beer cellar and would rather sell for like 25/35% over what this person paid for it as it was cellared & cooled for a few years. Does something exist other than splitting it up and throwing it to the vultures on CCBE? would this person still be a dick for say selling a 2010 dark lord for like 25 bucks? this person isnt really looking for the money, more easing moving 4 cases of beer that aint lambics. I'm assuming it's like 1 or 2K worth of beer that could be sold for 3 or 4K if you were a scumbag with time. any of you interested...do you need 8 bottles of 2012 KBS?

I would suggest three ways of dealing with it.
1) If you have time to break it up into 2 or 3 lots that you could see a group of people buying to drink together, it'd be a great way to help out a newbie group get some rarer stuff and not have to trade or buy at crazy prices. (This is how my group of buddies got into the hobby, bought a cellar for MSRP from someone that wanted to downsize)

2) Make a list of everything you have and how much you want for it, and what day you need it picked up by. I'm sure people here would love to get some of the stuff you have for the great prices you are suggesting.

3) Do what vav did and tell people they have to stop by your house at a certain time/day, make a donation to a certain charity, and then pick out however many bottles you think is fair.

Since you're like 2 blocks away, how about I just come by and help you drink them?

say this fella breaks it up into 4 big boxes, does he sells it on CCBE? is their a website or way to like target new folks instead of ****** people that will sell it?

The non-****** folks you can find on this site not good enough? ;)

I was guessing this site wasnt interested in they type of wares i'd (I mean this person) be peddling. is there a section I can do IP sales in?

Our group found the the seller on Craigslist. She had another person asking to pay her more money than she wanted and she almost sold it to them, but I made the promise that we would drink it all and not try to sell it or trade it to make a profit, and to give updates if she wanted when we did. It worked, she took less money from us knowing it would get enjoyed by a group of guys and not exploited.

TL;DR
I bet if you posted on CCBE or Craigslist and put the qualifier that you are looking for a newer group of people to help out with the stipulation that all the beer must be enjoyed by the people buying it and not sold or traded to try and profit from it. (Understand they might trade something that is a duplicate to try and expand a vertical here or there)

Nope, most likely just post something here asking people to PM you, I mean this person, if they are interested and want details.

If you go this route but happen to have any BBPt5 stranglers left, let me know. It's one of those beers that have eluded me and would be interested in buying some to finally try it.

Fixed up.
