i almost laughed the other day when i was presented with a $30 bottle of regular bcbs. instead i was like "not at 30 bucks dude" and bought my bottle of normally-priced, fresh dreadnaught.

I found a place with barleywine behind the counter, I asked to buy one and it came out to 28 dollars. I wasnt about to pay double the retail price. So I told the cashier that I left my wallet in the car, but then realized that it was still in my hand. She looked down at it, and i just awkwardly turned around and walked out of the building as fast as i could. I dont think ill be going back there again.

Barleywine is worse than previous years.

Serious question: why did I buy any variants of BCBS? Just opened my first regular of the "season." Should have just driven around looking for more and more.

I got one of the 17.99 regal ryes at Costco and had friends branch out to other costcos to get as much $7.99 regular as I could gather. All totaled, about $150 for 16 regular and 1 regal. Great success!

I purposely avoided Rare because I knew that I couldn't resist purchasing it.

I guess 4 hours standing by Capone's cash register beats the Black Friday rain outside Binny's.

This Black Friday **** has officially gotten old. Have 0 bcbs to date, although I turned down several from places that were gouging or wanted me to buy other GI products & gouging. Last year I had no problem getting 1.5 cases without even trying. Remember back in 2012 when you could walk into Binny's Grand and buy a case of regular off the floor, I do. :(

See, you have to wrassle up a posse and clear out area stores as best you can. Then you get as much as you want!

Tried the '15 regular at Clybourn (keg has since kicked - though London Fog is still going). It's damn good. Maybe I'll find a bottle or two or just look for it on draft. Either way, I had a few glasses today - I'll take it.

Random thought: are the playoffs going to go Regal>Prop>Rare at the UC this (next) year?

You're in the Elgin area, right? Caputo's in South Elgin had 4 cases of regular behind customer service earlier tonight. $10.99 a bottle.
