That's funny since there was a keg of it at an event last Tuesday...

And kegs on the Tapdeck at Fulton.

There's at least one pallet of the wooden box slates sitting in plain view at the Barrel Warehouse.

Not that it really needed reiterating, but playaplaya knows nothing.

for those of us who do not give a **** about bcbschat at the moment, kegs of unfiltered pilsner urquell are floating around again. I'm drinking one at the fill up station in berwyn and it is glorious. I would buy a ridiculous amount of this if this is what they sent over here on the reg.

there is a post on ccbe that I can't find at the moment with some other tappings of it, but one I know for sure in the next few days is at bangers and lace Evanston.
Damn right. Delightful stuff. I wish they'd publicize the crap out of this stuff, though, so I never miss it. Gonna have to poke around and see if any hit AZ.

I know I'm late to the party but I don't internet much on the weekend. Rare Day was a fantastic event that I was lucky to be a guest at. Everything moved swiftly and was well organized. The Fulton taproom looks great and I need to get back there for a beer. The warehouse is a pretty incredible place. So many interesting barrels to take a peek at: sherry, scotch, maple, and so many different bourbons. Great flow inside the building. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I thought Rare was the star of the show. Fudgy, boozy, and rich. Prop 15 was surprisingly good in my opinion. Really sweet maple with a toasted pecan finish. The pepper kind of melded with the rye notes. Regal Rye didn't stand up among all the others I had. Thinner mouthfeel, seemingly already faded berry/cherry, a little tartness to the cherry, and plenty of salt on the finish. Vanilla Rye was marshmallow wonder. Prop 14 was as good as I ever tasted it. Hints of coconut maybe but basically a cinnamon roll. BW 14 was vanilla caramels. I loved it. Coffee 15 smells like a medium roast black coffee with a bit of cream from any old coffee place, but the taste was spot on. Nice full bodied coffee flavor (not espresso) then the finish was all BCBS. BW 15 had some toffee notes but seemed a hair thinner than 14. Templeton Rye 2 year was maybe my 2nd favorite behind Rare. Boozy, rich, and spicy. OG Vanilla was very well rounded. Cherry Rye was a better version of Regal basically. Just more balanced with only hints of chocolate covered cherry. Overall an awesome time. Was able to get a glass and a coffee mug. Wish the shirts weren't sold out. If anybody knows of anyone with a L or XL Rare Day Tshirt, I'd be up for a trade or purchase. Missed the 9:40 train, so we grabbed some pizza at Beer Bistro. Told my buddy in the West Loop that if he got there in 15 minutes I'd share one. He and his fiance made it over in time so I'm already down one bottle of Rare but it was worth it. Great beer, great time, great friends.

That's a shame. I wish more would speak out about it.

+1. I've always understood that the leadership of the Guild is rather.. "cliquey", so to speak.

Curious what Bryan was referring specifically on but it's no secret he's disagreed with them before.

I am curious as to which breweries were removed/removed themselves from these events...
I can't remeber who it was that asked for his dues back then got kicked out of BUG for pourin with his other brewery, but it was during the member hour so people saw it.

Sorry, I am a bad source of information. I pay just enough attention to remember half of the story.
