Not that this is talkpizza but did you get into spacca a few weeks ago when they had the visiting 3rd generation pizzaiulo from Italy? He made a carnivale pizza his grandfather invented which was star shaped with ricotta filled points. It made me weep
Nothing I like more than some hipster crying in a pizza joint.

Nope, sounds sweet though. That place is the truth.

Oh if this is the FIB Food Thoughts thread, this kickass Asian "Chipotle style" place opened across from my office. Beat the Asian Chipotle we are getting by like 3 months. I could eat there almost every day and be happy with life choices. BrightWok Kitchen at Adams and Wabash if you are in the area.

Well, ****, this looks intriguing. I'm at Adams and Wells; I may need to get lunch or dinner there soon.

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I know Monroe and Wabash well enough (frequent visitor to Naf Naf) but I'll make the one-block trek to check this place out!

Thanks for the tip. Might have to hit this up next week.

EDIT: Monroe and Dearborn checking in.

I also am a frequenter of NafNaf. MMMM Chicken Hummus Bowl.
You know what's surprising? The beef is less fat/cholesterol/calories, etc - and yet, the beef tends to be so bland. Amd those hot sauces are screaming with high sodium! So, yeah! -- ya know?!

So I can't actually do a liquid lunch (silly working with power plants).

Thanks for the heads up. I'm at Wacker & Wabash as of last week, will need to go check this out. So far I've been hitting Pastoral and Oasis Cafe (and Chick-fil-A once).

I've been meaning to hit up Pastoral. Worth it?

Definitely worth at least one visit. On the pricey side ($8-13 for a sandwich), but the baguettes are perfect, ingredients are high quality, and they don't skimp on the meats & cheeses. Just avoid going during the 11:45-12:30 lunch rush or you'll be standing in line for 20 minutes. At 1pm on Wednesday, I walked right up to the register, put in my order, and was out the door with my sandwich in 10 minutes.

That's a pretty good duo. You could do A LOT worse. Oasis is a nice hidden spot.

This pretty much goes for anything "good" in the Loop.
