CCBE daily laugher (smsp = S'more Money). $140 on S'more Money?

No idea who that guy is, but he regularly posts some of the dumbest **** on CCBE.

It's not hard to learn about beer if you're interested. There are tons of great resources and forums etc. out there. People shitposting on Facebook just don't care to seek it out. Facebook is mostly casuals. The real discussions and trades etc. go down on beer-specific forums. There's a reason I feel safer trading on TalkBeer or even BeerAdvocate than I do on Facebook. You'd think that using your real identity would lead to less scamming and shitposting but that really doesn't seem to be true.

Serious talk - when will the line start for Rev's SJ?

12/24: Tango Belgian Double ale (brewpub only, available at tap room 12/26)

12/26: Jukebox Hero, our black IPA, kicking off our 2015 Hero Series. Also available in 22-ounce bombers.

12/31: Willie Wee Heavy (brewpub only, available at tap room 1/2)

1/7: Mother of Exiles pilsner (draft only), Civil Disobedience imperial IPA, & Straight Jacket, our barrel-aged barleywine (and FoBAB medal winner!) Available in 22-ounce bombers.

That's my problem as well. I tried in the beginning, but this New Breed/New Money doesn't want to hear any of it. They think they are the end all be all of Chicago Craft Beer since they took a beer school lesson at GI Clybourn once and took a tour of Finch's so they know how a brewery works.

CCBE reinforced my knowledge of the crowd we are dealing with in the "Best 5 beers of the year" thread where someone stated Dark Horse Scotty Karate was in their top 5 and 90% of the others included Pipeworks, Dino Smores, Stone beers, etc. (no offense to Pipeworks, you make some great single hop IPA's)

**** remember when i could walk into binnys in the summer and find SJ turdin it up? looks like i gotta hit up the tap room and buy some if i want the stuff...

it appears as though quinnsi is trying to educate some of the CCBE's, I hope a bunch of em take those classes and stop posting pictures of an IPA and asking peoples opinions of it.

honestly i'd love to take those classes, and i know a lil bit about beer, or at least think i do.... maybe next go round on the classes chris.

I was hoping someone else noticed that. That one did not disappoint.

There are a lot of casual beer drinkers on CCBE, no need to knock people because they're not at the same knowledge level as us. If Scotty Karate makes someone's top 5, so be it. Different Strokes for different folks. My favorite beer at one point was Boulder Brewing Hazed and Infused o_O

The fact that the crowd likes beers your or I consider sub-par isn't the problem. I don't think I need to write a 1000 word essay on what the problem really is either, since we probably all know.

Line will start night before since they snuck "FOBAB medal winner!" in there.

I ******* hate Chicago.

Bean Gene and Mean Gene turding up the shelves. Holding out hope that Straight Jacket will follow suit.

And at this point, I think CCBE should be left as the eternal tire yard fire that it is. If you want a Chicago-based FB group of intelligent craft beer fans, just create a new group.

Create a new group and make new members answer the three questions from the bridge in Monty Python's Holy Grail so you know they don't suck.

This is the second recommendation received today to have an intelligence test before allowing folks to join CCBE 2.0.

Also my favorite color is blue.

No, green!
